Buddha preached that desire is the cause of all worldly sorrows. Living without desire means there is no aim, no ambition and no target in life. Where will this lead us to in this highly competitive computer era?

Therefore, it is obvious that we must have desires to win in life. Our desire started when we were a sperm cell, swam via chemo taxis, and successfully reached the ovum. This desire process continues until the death though the intensity of desire differs in individuals and in distinctive matters.

Bhagavad-Gita says ‘do your duty, do not expect results’. Here again, we are confused... How can we go on working without bothering about the results? It means we should not lose our balance when we don’t get the expected results. If we lose our control the efficiency in our work will be affected considerably which in turn will produce an effect on the future results. If we have the maturity of mind to be cool and work hard continuously, we will achieve in a big way one day.

So, friends, let us, desire and work hard. We shall continue our efforts until we get the desired results. The world is beautiful and let us make our life more beautiful.

Life is a mirror, if you show your best face to it,

He was a very busy and rich businessman. He frequently went on business trips to many other cities. When he was staying in the hotels, he relaxed (?)himself with drinks and women. His women were mostly commercial sex workers.

He fell ill and his doctor diagnosed that he was HIV positive and having Aids. It was a terrible shock for him. Nevertheless, he began to drink more and seek more women assuming to seek peace. He did not disclose the fact to his wife and continued to have sex with her..

Therefore he passed on the dreadful virus to his innocent wife. After a few months he died. It is of course a much severe punishment for the mistake he had committed. But that is Aids; we cannot help it, is it not?

His wife also died after six months. She was given death sentence by her loving husband for living all her life for the sake of him and his children . What a loss for the children?

Now my question is: Is it not a murder to pass on the HIV virus knowingly to the ignorant wife?

(This is a not a story but a real incident happened a few months ago)

He was a young boy, fifteen years of age. His father is a habitual drunkard. He never cared for this boy. His mother is also not so supportive. He has grown up without proper love or care. One day he picked a quarrel with his father and left home. He decided to visit his grand father who was living about 15oo kms away from his home.

The poor boy had no money to embark on this journey so he decided to hitchhike. He hitch hiked for a while and getting a lift on a truck, he reached the airport. There he sneaked his way into the airport and somehow managed to climb up on the wing of an aircraft. Lying there in the middle of the wing, he thought he could make the journey.

The temperature was very low and in minus degrees. The airplane started its 1300kms journey to Moscow. He was lying on the wing with his body shivering in bitter coldness. Nobody took notice of the boy when the plane took off. The thrilling journey lasted for about two hours before the plane landed in Moscow airport.

The Moscow airport officials found the boy lying unconscious on the wing of this plane. He was rushed to the hospital. Thank God, the doctors were able to save him. It is really beyond my imagination to think about the boy flying on the wings of the aircraft exposed to the elements at temperatures of minus degrees and yet stay alive after the long adventurous and harrowing journey.

Imagine what a miracle to be a alive after all of this? He must be destined to live long in this beautiful world. That is why the frustrated boy remained alive.
